The Day We Met

I met my wife on a blind date. I was living in New York City at the time, and she had just moved to the city from China. We were both in our early twenties, and we were both looking for love.

We hit it off immediately. We talked for hours that night, and we couldn't stop laughing. I knew right away that she was the one for me.

Our Wedding Day

We got married a year later. Our wedding was a small, intimate affair, with our closest friends and family in attendance.

I remember that day like it was yesterday. My wife looked absolutely beautiful in her white dress. And when she walked down the aisle, I felt like the luckiest man in the world.

The Birth of Our Children

We had two children together, a boy and a girl. They were the light of our lives.

I loved watching my wife with our children. She was such a natural mother. She was always so patient and loving, and she always knew how to make them laugh.

My Wife's Diagnosis

In 2015, my wife was diagnosed with cancer. It was a devastating blow. We were both in shock, and we didn't know what to do.

My wife was a fighter, though. She never gave up hope. She underwent chemotherapy and radiation, and she fought the disease with everything she had.

My Wife's Death

But in 2017, my wife lost her battle with cancer. She was only 42 years old.

I was heartbroken. I didn't know how I was going to go on without her.

My Journey as a Widower

In the years since my wife's death, I have been on a journey of grief and recovery.

It has been a difficult journey, but I have learned a lot about myself and about life. I have learned that grief is a process, and that it takes time to heal.

I have also learned that I am not alone. There are millions of other people who have lost loved ones. And there are many resources available to help us cope with our grief.
